Missing even a single tooth can set off a chain reaction in your mouth. Remaining teeth begin to drift into the gap, bite alignment shifts, and your ability to chew comfortably becomes compromised. Whether you’re dealing with a long-standing gap or a sudden dental emergency, the team at Raines Over the Rockies Family Dentistry specializes in full-function restoration designed to get you back to living your life.

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all dentistry. From same-day bridges for a single missing tooth to precision-crafted dentures for a full arch, we use advanced technology to ensure your replacement teeth look, feel, and function as naturally as possible.

A dental bridge is a fixed restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring an artificial tooth permanently to the adjacent natural teeth. It bridges the gap—both literally and functionally.

At most offices, a bridge requires two appointments and a two-week wait while the restoration is fabricated off-site. At our Lakewood office, we use the fastmill.io™ in-office mill to eliminate that wait entirely.

The process begins with an iTero digital scan—no gooey impression trays required. Dr. Raines then designs the bridge on screen, ensuring the margins and contours are precise for a lasting fit. The fastmill.io™ carves your restoration from a solid block of zirconia or ceramic, and because we use BruxZir® NOW blocks, the bridge comes out fully sintered and ready to place—no oven time required. You walk in with a gap and walk out with a permanent, natural-looking bridge in a single visit.

For patients missing multiple teeth or an entire arch, dentures remain a reliable and cost-effective path to restored function and appearance. Today’s dentures, however, are a significant improvement over older designs.

We offer partial dentures—which use a framework to clip onto existing teeth and fill gaps—as well as complete dentures for patients who have lost an entire arch. In both cases, fit is everything. The most common complaint about traditional dentures is that they slip, and that slipping almost always traces back to an imprecise impression.

By using iTero digital scans, we capture every contour of your gum tissue with exceptional accuracy. We also use Kavo 3D imaging to evaluate the underlying bone structure, ensuring your dentures have the best possible foundation. For patients where bone loss is a factor, we can discuss dental implants to anchor the dentures into place—providing the kind of stability that lets you eat, speak, and smile with genuine confidence.

Accidents happen when you least expect them. A tooth breaks during a weekend hike, or a throbbing pain that started at midnight becomes unbearable by morning. Dental emergencies don’t follow a schedule, and at Raines Over the Rockies, we’re equipped to respond.

A dental emergency includes a knocked-out tooth, a cracked or fractured tooth, severe toothache or facial swelling indicating infection, or a lost crown or bridge. If you experience any of these, prompt care is essential—especially in the case of a knocked-out tooth, where the window for reimplantation is measured in minutes.

Because we have the fastmill.io™ and Kavo 3D on-site, we can often provide definitive care during your emergency visit rather than sending you home with a temporary patch. We can mill a permanent same-day crown, perform root canal therapy to eliminate an active infection, or stabilize a fractured tooth—all in one appointment. For patients dealing with sudden pain or trauma, that means real resolution instead of a short-term fix.

Replacing multiple teeth or managing a dental emergency can be stressful. We prioritize your mental well-being as much as your dental health. Sedation options—including nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation—allow you to receive the care you need without anxiety dictating the experience.

The IsoDry system keeps your jaw supported and your airway protected throughout longer procedures, reducing fatigue and keeping the treatment area optimally clear. Whether you’re here for a bridge, a full arch of dentures, or an urgent situation, your comfort is part of the treatment plan.

Once your bridge or dentures are placed, preventative care becomes essential to protecting that investment. For bridges, we teach you how to use super floss to clean beneath the pontic and around the abutment teeth. For dentures, regular checkups allow us to monitor fit as your jawbone naturally changes shape over time—ensuring your dentures continue to seat correctly and function well.

At Raines Over the Rockies Family Dentistry, restoring what has been lost is part of what we mean by complete general dentistry. Whether through a same-day bridge, a precision-crafted denture, or immediate emergency care, we are here to make sure the families of Lakewood and Littleton never have to settle for a compromised smile. Schedule your consultation today and take the first step toward restoring your full function and confidence.
